Let’s face it, when you work full-time, it is hard to meet people and find new friends, especially when you are new in town and still don’t know too many people. Usually, you don’t want to go to bars and clubs by yourself. Naturally, you stay home and watch Netflix while simultaneously stalking your ex on social media. But should you?
One great way to meet new people with the same interest as you is to join social clubs. They organize interesting events for people just like you. They often have a very welcoming atmosphere and are very open to newcomers. Best of all, you don’t need to know or take anyone with you. Their job is to introduce you to other members. And yes, most of them are open to all ages and also open to both married and single people. So you have no excuse!
Here, we list our favorite social clubs all around the bay.
1. Dynamic Sports & Social Club

Dynamic Sports & Social Club, located in downtown San Jose is all about getting active in sports and also having fun while doing it. You may join archery tag, basketball, dodgeball, flag football, kickball, soccer, softball, volleyball, and social events. As they have mentioned on their official website:
“We place a strong emphasis on socializing and having fun. If you are new to the area and want to meet people or just play your favorite sport, we’ve got something for you.”
If you want to socialize, work out, and have fun at the same time then this club is for you!
But don’t take our word for it, check out their Yelp reviews. Also, don’t miss their End Of Season party, where they gather all of their members to party and participate in activities, such as beer pong (my favorite!) and Carnhole tournaments!
